Mok Chiu Yu is the Chief Executive of Centre for Community Cultural Development, who is an experienced community art practitioner, educator, curator, creator and performer, the awardee of Hong Kong Arts Development Award in year 1999.
Pete Moser comes from England. He is a well-known musician, community art artist, teacher and producer. In 1993, he founded More Music in Morecambe, a small town in North-west England, and has started promoting community music in the neighborhood ever since. It aims to strengthen community bonding and harmony through art.
On the night of 5 February 2004, 24 Chinese immigrant workers were drowned at the Morecambe Bay. This tragic accident brought great grief to the local community. In light of the incident, Pete Moser led More Music to initiate the project “The Long Walk”. They made songs together with the Chinese and British communities to commemorate the incident. The performance toured from Morecambe to Liverpool, Newcastle and Hong Kong, bringing a resilient energy to the town.
For more than a decade, Pete Moser and More Music have been promoting community music across the world. Their great achievements have been awarded by the Arts Council England. Pete Moser has also worked closely with CCCD for a long time and is a crucial member in this community music project.
